About the Role

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is seeking a motivated physician for its Hospitalist team within the Department of Medicine. This role involves comprehensive care of hospitalized patients, managing treatment from admission to discharge, and coordinating with specialists to ensure continuity of care for a culturally diverse population with a wide spectrum of medical conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients to assess their medical condition and to establish treatment protocols
  • Develop and manage treatment plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Perform medical procedures as needed
  • Coordinate and oversee patient care in the hospital, including specialists and ancillary staff
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly
  • Communicate with patients and families about conditions and care plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and hospital policies

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of post graduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in Internal Medicine
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Current, unrestricted New York State license
  • Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration
  • Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll
  • Excellent communication, bedside manners and organizational skills
  • Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office
  • ACLS/BCLS certification

Salary/Compensations

  • $240K to $260K
