About the Role

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is seeking a motivated physician to join our Hospitalist team. As a Hospitalist Physician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality inpatient care, managing patient health conditions, coordinating with healthcare professionals, and providing patient consultations. We serve a culturally diverse population with a wide spectrum of medical conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients to assess their medical condition and to establish treatment protocols
  • Develop and manage treatment plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Perform medical procedures as needed
  • Coordinate and oversee patient care in the hospital, including specialists and ancillary staff
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly
  • Communicate with patients and families about conditions and care plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and hospital policies

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of post graduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Current, unrestricted New York State license.
  • Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.
  • Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
  • Excellent communication, bedside manners and organizational skills
  • Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office
  • ACLS/BCLS certification
  • Experience in inpatient care (1–3 years preferred)
