About the Role

This role involves monitoring parking lots and assisting campus visitors, providing students with opportunities for outdoor work and practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor assigned parking lots to ensure vehicles are parked in lots corresponding to their permits.
  • Ensure compliance with timed and reserved parking spaces and lots.
  • Issue citations to parking violators.
  • Operate a portable two-way radio to communicate with Parking Services.
  • Staff the Visitor and Parking Information Booth to welcome visitors, provide campus information and directions, and issue parking permits.
  • Assist with traffic control during special events.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to walk for long periods in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to provide at least a 2-hour block of time per shift.
  • Must attach both a resume and cover letter.
  • Must bring original, unexpired, authorized personal identification documents to complete the I-9 form.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check.
