About the Role
This role involves monitoring parking lots and assisting campus visitors, providing students with opportunities for outdoor work and practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor assigned parking lots to ensure vehicles are parked in lots corresponding to their permits.
- Ensure compliance with timed and reserved parking spaces and lots.
- Issue citations to parking violators.
- Operate a portable two-way radio to communicate with Parking Services.
- Staff the Visitor and Parking Information Booth to welcome visitors, provide campus information and directions, and issue parking permits.
- Assist with traffic control during special events.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to walk for long periods in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to provide at least a 2-hour block of time per shift.
- Must attach both a resume and cover letter.
- Must bring original, unexpired, authorized personal identification documents to complete the I-9 form.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check.
