About the Role

Nox Group is seeking a Material Handler to support the construction industry. This role involves assisting with fabrication, material handling, and general labor tasks, requiring mechanical aptitude, mathematical skills, and literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery to fabricate parts and assemble components according to specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for fabrication.
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Prepare and organize materials for fabrication, including cutting and shaping.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, production schedules, and inventory usage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fabrication processes, machinery, or materials.
  • Perform jobsite housekeeping and general labor.
  • Perform other Prefab related duties and assignments as instructed by Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, instructional manuals and understand specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic math skills for measuring, calculating dimensions, and material quantities.
  • Proficiency in using fabrication tools and machinery.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfort with handling tools and machinery.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn.
  • Ability to follow directions, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, unassisted, frequently throughout the day.
  • Ability to stand or be on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Must be able to safely and successfully complete physical working conditions including potentially lifting up to 50 pounds, repeated pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching, walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing.
  • Potentially operate a motor vehicle, crane, tractor, etc.
