About the Role
This position is an integral member of the Mid-Atlantic Regions management team, responsible for leading commercial cleaning operations, ensuring service commitments are met, and exceeding budget and growth expectations. The role involves overseeing scheduling, training, performance management, and meeting operational and sales expectations for the assigned market. It also includes managing corporate expenses, driving revenue through upselling services, and assisting the sales team in customer acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the development of long-term strategy and sound annual business plans for growth.
- Oversee daily operations, sales activity, budgets, and team personnel.
- Manage corporation expenses including cleaning services, delivery costs, and supplies.
- Meet regularly with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify changing needs, building strong tenant relations.
- Review service delivery and staffing reports to identify issues.
- Analyze processes and practices considering customer needs and service expectations.
- Meet with company leaders to evaluate performance, identify service enhancement opportunities, and understand regulatory trends.
- Understand customer contract commitments and schedule services accordingly.
- Allocate resources for customer sites and maintain supply inventories.
- Monitor service delivery performance with Operations and Sales staff, identifying deficiencies.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of cleaning staff.
- Interact with senior level managers and ownership of current and potential clients to promote business.
- Perform other duties as needed by the company.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years progression in a janitorial or similar industry.
- Operations management and/or building/facilities management experience in a Class A building is preferred.
- Working knowledge of the cleaning service industry is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respond timely with building owners, senior management, clients, vendors, and staff.
- Effective problem-solving, leadership, organizational, and planning skills.
- Strong business development experience, skills, and ideas.
