About the Role

As a Software Engineer II, you will analyze, design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and support applications based on customer requests to ensure successful operation and conformance to requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements refinement, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support.
  • Develop secure, reliable, and maintainable software in accordance with established standards and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, source control, automated testing, and continuous integration and delivery practices.
  • Collaborate with customers, business partners, and technical teams to understand needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Communicate work status, risks, dependencies, and technical concerns through established channels.
  • Troubleshoot application and production issues and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Create and maintain application and technical documentation.
  • Contribute to technical design, architecture discussions, solution evaluation, and project estimates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve software quality, reliability, and development practices.
  • Provide constructive feedback and share knowledge through code reviews and collaboration.
  • Continually develop technical and professional skills.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate studies in computer science, B.S. preferred or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of related experience in computer programming and analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and seek guidance when technical, business, or operational risks require broader input.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work across multiple concurrent assignments or projects.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced Agile development environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to receive and apply feedback while providing constructive feedback to others.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, customers, and stakeholders with different areas of expertise.
  • Commitment to software quality, continuous improvement, professional development, and shared team success.
  • Must be able to clearly define systems and operational problems and draw valid conclusions and recommendations as to how to resolve.

Skills

  • Experience with object-oriented programming and application development using C# and .NET.
  • Experience developing modern web applications using technologies such as Angular, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience designing, developing, integrating, and troubleshooting web services and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience working with relational databases, including SQL, data modeling, query development, and database troubleshooting.
  • Experience with an object-relational mapping framework such as Entity Framework or comparable technology.
  • Experience using Git-based source control, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and merge conflict resolution.
  • Working knowledge of software design principles and common design patterns, including object-oriented design, dependency injection, separation of concerns, and layered or service-based architecture.
  • Experience creating and maintaining automated tests, including unit and integration tests.
  • Familiarity with build automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and application deployment practices.
  • Ability to diagnose application defects and production issues using logs, debugging tools, monitoring information, and systematic troubleshooting techniques.

  • Base salary commensurate with candidate's experience.
