About the Role
HCR is offering a 3-week Paid HHA Certification course starting September 1st, 2026. This NYS Dept. of Health approved course will enable participants to obtain a recognized HHA Certificate and work for HCR in Clinton County.
Responsibilities
- Provide health related services as outlined in the plan of care authorized by a physician and established by a registered nurse or licensed therapist under the direction of the Aide Matrix established by the NYS Department of Health.
- Provide assistance with personal hygiene, housekeeping and/or other related supportive tasks to a patient with health care needs in his/her home.
- Immediately report changes in client’s condition to supervising professional.
- Ensure the safety of the patient, patient’s family and/or the employee.
- Maintain HIPAA.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Successful completion of HCR's Reading and Math Test
- Reliable transportation
- Driver's License
- Provide a copy of immunization records/MMRs after offer acceptance
- Submission to CHRC background check, fingerprinting, drug test, physical exam and Tuberculin Testing after offer acceptance
Skills
- Ability to visually recognize objects within 20 feet
- Ability to speak and hear
- Sufficient hand strength and dexterity to carry out care plan duties
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, pull and push unsupported, routinely
- Ability to climb two flights of stairs
