About the Role

This Senior Project Architect role focuses on interiors, ensuring the integrity of the space's feel, finish palette, acoustics, and detailing while navigating base building constraints, code reviews, and value engineering. You will be the key person ensuring the design vision is realized and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead interior design and delivery on complex projects.
  • Direct documentation, drawing production, and QC/QA reviews.
  • Coordinate architecture, FF&E, lighting, and acoustics consultants.
  • Serve as the technical voice to the client, translating jargon between disciplines.
  • Manage regulatory review and AHJ submissions for building code, accessibility, and zoning.
  • Run construction contract administration effectively, ensuring thorough follow-through.
  • Stay current on building technology and systems relevant to high-rise and mixed-use delivery.
  • Contribute to pursuits, proposals, and interviews.
  • Lead charettes, pin-ups, and design reviews that produce decisions.
  • Mentor staff and manage assignments to grow their judgment.

Requirements

  • Treat interior technical coordination as core design work.
  • Sit across from clients, base building architects, and MEP engineers, understanding their needs and translating between disciplines.
  • Deliver finish and detail packages that hold up in construction and daily use.
  • Building, zoning, and energy code fluency.
  • Site analysis.
  • Experience from preliminary design studies through contract documents and specifications.
  • Construction contract administration experience.
  • Consultant coordination experience.
  • Client communication skills that do not require a translator.

Skills

  • Advanced Revit
  • Rhino/Grasshopper for conceptual and computational modeling
  • Microsoft 365
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Enscape, Lumion, or V-Ray for visualization
  • Physical modeling: 3D printing, laser cutting
  • Environmental analysis tools such as Ladybug/Climate Studio (a plus)

Salary/Compensations

  • $128,800–$189,300
