About the Role

Responsibilities
- Performs patient assessments, acquires and analyzes data using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies.
- Provides a summary of findings to the physician to aid in patient diagnosis and management.
- Uses independent judgment and systematic problem-solving methods to produce high-quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
- Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with all team members and medical staff.
- Actively guards confidentiality of sensitive information, including patients, staff, and the health system.
- Provides care appropriate to the age of the patient, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development over the life span.
- Assesses patient status and interprets age-specific needs and care requirements.
- Demonstrates computer knowledge and skills, including EMR modules and the PACS system.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited ultrasound program or registered with equivalent ultrasound experience required.
- Certified with ARDMS required.
- BLS certification required.
- Registered in OB/GYN within one year.
- Maintains professional credentials specifically related to Sonography and participates in continuing education activities.
- Must be able to perform without physical limitations.
