About the Role
Join the Landsman family as a Maintenance Technician and utilize your skills to make a positive impact on the community. We are seeking motivated individuals for full-time and part-time openings.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine resident service requests, preventative maintenance, emergency maintenance, and capital improvement projects.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Perform seasonal maintenance.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on building systems and apartments, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, appliances, painting/drywall, HVAC, fire and security systems, and elevators.
- Perform snow removal.
- Be available on-call for evening and weekend emergencies.
- Interact with residents, vendors, and office staff.
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must pass a standard background check and drug screening.
- Must have prior experience related to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance, HVAC, and building systems.
- Must have a mechanical aptitude and skillful use of equipment and tools.
- Must possess physical and manual dexterity skills.
- Must use a cell phone while on call.
- Must be able to manage a flexible schedule including overtime and be on-call as assigned.
- Must be able to lift, move and transport up to 50lbs without mechanical assistance.
- Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, access and work in confined spaces, and work at heights in excess of 20 feet.
- Must have the mobility required to use ladders.
