About the Role

The Manager Medical Practice is responsible for providing leadership, management, and oversight to assigned medical practice(s). This role collaborates with clinicians and staff to optimize patient flow, reduce errors, improve access to service, and enhance the patient experience. The Practice Manager will also support staff in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care, while managing key performance indicators related to growth, operations, patient access, quality, and finance.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the medical practice.
  • Develops and implements short-term and long-term goals to grow the business.
  • Manages provider scheduling templates, hours/days of service, no-show rates, and cancellations to ensure appropriate patient access.
  • Manages and monitors staffing levels, participates in hiring, staff orientation, performance reviews, and corrective actions.
  • Proactively solves problems, administrative issues, or patient complaints.
  • Trains and educates staff on health system policies, compliance program, and regulations.
  • Ensures revenue cycle processes are clear and well-executed for efficient billing and positive patient experience.
  • Holds monthly meetings with clinicians and staff to communicate changes and solicit feedback.
  • Meets with clinicians monthly to review dashboard results and develop action plans for KPIs.
  • Develops capital needs list, reviews operating budgets, and ensures budgets are met.
  • Manages and maintains medical practice physical plant, equipment, and inventory.
  • Provides guidance with scheduling new provider interviews, onboarding, and health plan credentialing.
  • Maintains and models the Organization's values.
  • Fulfills and adheres to all compliance responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of progressive management experience in a medical practice or integrated health system required.
  • Strong interpersonal, telephone, and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite required).
  • Working knowledge of practice management and electronic medical record software systems.
  • Ability to travel between practices as needed.
