About the Role

This is a high-energy, people-facing role where you will play a key part in creating a positive, engaging day for participants. Your focus will include actively engaging participants in group activities, programs, and community outings, bringing enthusiasm, creativity, and positivity into the day program, encouraging social interaction, confidence, and independence, supporting behaviour support strategies in a calm, proactive way, and working closely with your team to create a welcoming, inclusive environment. This role suits someone who lifts the room, builds rapport quickly, and enjoys being hands-on and present.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engaging participants in group activities, programs, and community outings
  • Bringing enthusiasm, creativity, and positivity into the day program
  • Encouraging social interaction, confidence, and independence
  • Supporting behaviour support strategies in a calm, proactive way
  • Working closely with your team to create a welcoming, inclusive environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Day Program or group-based disability setting
  • Confident facilitating group activities and encouraging participation
  • Communicate clearly, set healthy boundaries, and work well in a team
  • 6+ months experience or a Cert III/IV in Disability, Aged Care, or a related field
  • Driver Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid
