About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will balance patient needs with efficient office workflow, support physicians in medical procedures, and ensure an excellent patient service experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms, assisting with forms.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient needs, including transportation and rescheduling.
- Perform clerical tasks such as copying, filing, and faxing.
- Maintain procedure rooms, ensuring they are neat and ready for use.
- Assist doctors during Endovenous Laser Therapy procedures according to instructions and preferences.
- Prepare patients before procedures and clean up afterward.
- Ensure patients receive post-procedure instructions and information on obtaining medication.
- Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and OSHA regulations.
- Prepare IV solution.
- Train new staff as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate program.
- Active CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification from a recognized national certifying body (e.g., NHA).
- 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a closely related role.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Availability to work Saturdays as needed.
