About the Role

Graham SLAM provides youth with comprehensive support, planning, and strong peer and adult guidance through post-secondary success and onto a living wage career path. This role involves direct supervision of Graham SLAM Youth Coaches, supporting them in building transformational relationships with youth to foster critical skills and guide them toward academic and career success.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ongoing management, direction, and support to coaches.
• Guide staff in using Solution-Based Casework and Motivational Interviewing techniques.
• Provide supervision to assigned staff, creating psychological safety through vulnerability, authenticity, and accountability.
• Support staff in developing strong relationships with young people through effective modeling of pro-social skills.
• Recruit youth for Graham SLAM therapeutic peer groups.
• Help staff facilitate therapeutic peer groups focused on skill-building.
• Form strong relationships across Graham with case planners, supervisors, care coordinators, and therapists.
• Build systems to collect data and participate in data-informed management meetings.
• Ensure efficient administrative procedures are in place.
• Effectively manage financial information and physical resources.
• Partner with the Program Director to conduct outreach to outside community agencies.
• Collaborate with other system providers to ensure coordinated efforts towards similar goals.
• Further anti-racist efforts and work with diverse cultures and populations, including LGBTQIA+.
• Participate in scheduled staff meetings and trainings.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience working with adolescents.
• Experience working with at-risk adolescents is highly desirable, preferably in child welfare.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Capacity to lead, train, and coach a team of direct reports.
• Demonstrates sound observation skills, judgment, and commitment to promoting principles of youth development.
