About the Role

Join Andwell Health Partners, Maine's largest independent nonprofit home and community healthcare organization, dedicated to helping people live healthier, more independent lives. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide skilled occupational therapy services in patients' homes, helping individuals regain function, improve daily living skills, and achieve greater independence.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver occupational therapy treatments according to the established plan of care.
  • Assist patients in improving activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, adaptive techniques, transfers, positioning, and use of assistive equipment.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Accurately document visits and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, caregivers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Promote patient safety, independence, and quality of life while following all regulatory and clinical standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree program for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the State of Maine.
  • Minimum of one year of recent clinical experience preferred.
  • Current Maine driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proof of automobile insurance.
  • CPR certification (or ability to maintain certification).
