About the Role

Trunk Tools is seeking an Instructional Designer and Learning Operations Lead to develop and manage the certification curriculum for their AI-Enabled GC program. This role involves owning the entire learning system, from curriculum design and content creation to managing the learning-management platform. The position requires significant upfront work in content authoring before transitioning to maintenance and ongoing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design certification tracks and modules segmented by business unit and role, progressing from foundational AI literacy to advanced, workflow-specific use.
  • Build for a blended learning model including video, quizzes, and in-person components with meaningful assessments.
  • Establish a clear standard for certification: trained, used in the workflow, and assessed.
  • Author and produce learning content, managing contract authors during peak build periods.
  • Administer the learning-management system, including enrollments, cohorts, certification tracking, and reporting.
  • Ensure the operational engine runs smoothly for timely cohort progression.
  • Configure the curriculum per GC while maintaining a shared curriculum map.
  • Balance common curriculum elements with necessary tailoring for specific accounts.
  • Keep content current with evolving AI tools and product updates, managing module updates and retirements.
  • Track attendance, completion, certification, and assessment scores to feed into program KPIs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design/adult learning and learning operations/LMS administration.
  • Corporate training or enablement experience.
  • Experience standing up or running a certification program.
  • High personal AI fluency; you use the tools you’re teaching.
  • Able to run a content pipeline like a project, including scope, schedule, and delivery.

  • Instructional-design practice (e.g., ADDIE or SAM)
  • Hands-on LMS administration (e.g., Docebo, Cornerstone, TalentLMS)
  • Content authoring tools (e.g., Articulate / Rise, Camtasia)
  • Solid assessment design
