About the Role

Cadent is seeking a highly motivated and deeply knowledgeable Director, Programmatic Sales Strategy & Activation. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on our programmatic offerings, your mandate will be to drive programmatic growth across the Cadent sales team. You will act as the crucial bridge between our GCS/SA sales teams, CIM (Cadent’s SSP), Product, and our agency partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead GTM programmatic sales efforts.
  • Partner with the sales team in both pre-sale and post-sale environments to close deals and drive net-new programmatic dollars.
  • Act as the internal SME, educating the sales organization on our programmatic offerings.
  • Identify the right moments to push programmatic deals.
  • Establish clear guidance on goals and compensation.
  • Partner with regional sales and Hold Co leads to coordinate regional activation plans.
  • Spearhead the process for SSP accreditation and verification from Hold Cos and other large agencies (e.g., PMX / Publicis).
  • Act as the primary point of contact and lead the strategy for any Agency SSP RFIs.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with CIM leadership, Product Marketing, and Sales to maximize the impact of our programmatic narrative.
  • Own and surpass programmatic sales quotas.
  • Partner with Rev Ops and executive leadership on programmatic sales pipeline development, tracking, and forecasting.
  • Coordinate with CIM leadership and the Product team to ensure market feedback informs the roadmap and that new products/solutions are successfully brought to market.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in programmatic advertising, ad tech, or media sales, with deep expertise in SSPs, DSPs, and programmatic deal structures (PMPs, PG, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of the agency landscape, specifically Hold Co structures and their programmatic verification/accreditation processes.
  • Proven ability to manage to—and exceed—sales quotas and goals, with experience partnering with Revenue Operations on pipeline management.
  • Track record of successfully partnering with and enabling highly matrixed, cross-functional sales, product, and marketing teams.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills; capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable sales strategies.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
