About the Role
Join Campus Services Group (CSG) as a Floor Technician! In this role, you will maintain clean and orderly floors in a variety of campus environments, ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere for students, faculty, and visitors. If you are dedicated to creating high-quality service experiences and take pride in your work, we want you to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Perform specialized floor care tasks, such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.
- Safely operate various types of floor care equipment, such as auto scrubbers and burnishers.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of floors in public and private spaces, including hallways, classrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Comply with safety standards and follow all infection control, sanitation, and hazardous materials policies.
- Respond promptly to floor care requests and maintain communication with campus staff.
- Perform light janitorial duties, including trash removal, as needed.
- Collaborate with your supervisor and team to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Ability to operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with students, staff, and guests.
- Compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.
- Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 75 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks daily and work in an environment that requires handling cleaning products.
