About the Role

Execute a variety of production tasks within a factory setting, primarily at designated workstations. Duties include handling and storing goods and raw materials, setting up production equipment, and ensuring manufacturing processes comply with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure paint preparation and coating application on rail vehicles meet customer expectations
• Perform coating repairs and apply decals/stenciling
• Maintain paint process records (e.g., batch numbers, conditions)
• Ensure paint thickness is up to the contract requirements
• Train junior painters to the job requirements and ensure environmental/safety compliance
• Follow safety protocols and report any painting issues
• Inspect and maintain the painting equipment
• Perform all assembly tasks and other manufacturing requirements as instructed
• Prepare and maintain production areas and equipment
• Perform manufacturing tasks as scheduled by the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system
• Perform operations within alignment of the work instructions
• Conduct quality checks throughout the production process
• Identify parts
• Promptly report any deviations or quality concerns to the Team Lead
• Packing finished vehicles and/or parts for shipment
• Completing tally sheets when required
• Adhering to 5S, ESD and EHS regulations
• Perform self-inspections
• Maintain special process qualifications as required

Requirements

• Must pass respiratory testing and paint quality tests (e.g., gloss level, adhesion)
• RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act)
• Special Process Torque Certification
• Two years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• A strong commitment to quality, effective teamwork, and clear communication are essential
• Proficiency in the local language is also important for daily operations and collaboration
• Vocational course in Auto Body Repair or equivalent experience
• All classifications may be instructed to support various production activities beyond your key responsibilities when necessary
