About the Role

Receives, maintains, sorts, inspects, stores, and distributes a wide variety of materials to multiple departments, suppliers, vendors, and customers in a timely and accurate fashion.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a clean and safe work area.
  • Reads and interprets stage plans, picklists, and SOPs or WIs.
  • Accurately records information on travelers and operates bar coding and computerized equipment.
  • Operates material handling equipment including RF devices, label machines, weight scales, and power equipment like forklifts, pickers, or pallet jacks.
  • Utilizes RF devices to pick material, debox and label material, weight count material, issue material to a work order, and transfer material to manufacturing.
  • Conducts quality inspections for correct part and lot numbers.
  • Follows procedures to ensure accurate transfers, transactions, and labeling.
  • Ensures accuracy of documentation on Sterile Load forms.
  • Performs receiving duties, including unloading and loading trailers, entering receiving functions into the MRP system, and putting away inspected material.
  • Participates in cycle counts and bay audits for inventory management.
  • Performs data entry transactions using the SAP business application system.
  • Performs duties such as cleaning, processing returns, QA transfers, scrapping material, and mixing polymers.
  • Ensures accurate data entry of work order closeouts.
  • Performs visual inspection of product and releases to inventory.
  • Ensures accurate label accountability.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment and safe operation of material handling equipment.
  • Must be certified on power equipment.
  • Must practice safe lifting techniques.
  • Manages to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Builds quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Actively communicate with Production Coordinator and/or Production Supervisor.

  • Ability to define and analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must be able to work alone with minimal supervision or direction.
  • Ability to seek guidance with superior when necessary.
  • Ability to read, write and compute basic math.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to operate powered equipment.

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude in running and/or adjusting equipment and/or machines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Notify manager/supervisor immediately for all on-the-job injuries or accidents.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35lbs.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to regularly stand and walk to perform production tasks.
  • Required to perform repetitive movement while demonstrating proficient hand and eye coordination, hand dexterity and good vision.
  • Continual attention to the accuracy of documentation.
