About the Role

This position involves providing administrative support and patient registration services across multiple Urgent Care clinics, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors and respond to routine inquiries.
  • Answer telephones, screen calls, and take messages.
  • Register patients, obtain demographic and insurance information, and verify coverage.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and previous balances, and post payments.
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate cancellations or reschedules.
  • Provide information regarding test preparations and arrival instructions.
  • Update insurance and financial data and communicate changes to patients.
  • Ensure accuracy of insurance and patient information based on payer requirements.
  • Identify and resolve registration problems.
  • Monitor patient flow to ensure efficient and courteous care.
  • Assist patients with transportation, directions, and mobility needs.
  • Perform visit closure, schedule follow-ups, and provide visit summaries.
  • File, retrieve, and deliver patient records and complete required documentation.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate.
  • Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to sort and file information alphabetically and numerically.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to operate necessary office equipment.

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office and email.
  • Keyboarding and data entry with speed and accuracy.
