About the Role

The People Department is seeking a Learning and Development Manager to implement professional development initiatives. This role designs and delivers programs that support staff in developing the skills, knowledge, and confidence to do their best work, managing the Learning and Development infrastructure end-to-end.

Responsibilities

  • Define the strategic framework and direct the development of key learning solutions, including workshops, cohort-based programs, blended learning, and experiential development utilizing best practice approaches across all-staff, managers, senior leadership and role-specific audiences, including interns
  • Consult and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and clarity
  • Manage compliance training for staff across the Center
  • Create facilitator guides for learning programs
  • Facilitate train-the-trainer (TTT) sessions to extend Learning and Development capacity across the organization
  • Build and maintain manager capability curricula, including learning pathways for new and experienced managers
  • Maintain CJI's Learning a d Development calendar
  • Manage external vendors, contracts, and content licensing
  • Administer the learning management platform (LMS)
  • Conduct learning needs assessments and partnering closely with program departments to address skill gaps
  • Track, manage data, and provide recommendations on utilization, learning outcomes and report on participation, completion, and impact
  • Manage programming logistics, delivery, and communications. Including marketing and publication of training offerings
  • Other related tasks supporting Learning and Development and the goals of the People Experience & Development team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or other relevant graduate degree and five years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or training, including direct facilitation experience required
  • Demonstrated skill designing curricula for adult learners across formats (in-person, virtual, asynchronous)
  • Experience administering an learning management platform (LMS)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Certification or formal coursework in instructional design, adult learning, coaching, or facilitation
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Experience in nonprofit, public-sector, or other mission-driven settings (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with manager development and capability frameworks (Preferred)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment
  • Must provide accurate and truthful information throughout the hiring process

Salary/Compensations

  • $90,000 - $118,500
