About the Role
We're seeking an exceptional Associate Director to lead and inspire a high-performing team of media professionals. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll drive strategic outcomes by balancing delegated accountability with direct ownership of media planning and activation. You'll establish a foundation of support, guidance, strategic clarity, and commitment to excellence while ensuring every project executes on time, on budget, and exceeds quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily team performance and trajectory, ensuring alignment with agency objectives and client expectations.
- Be accountable for direct reports’ day-to-day performance and task prioritization.
- Facilitate partnership between senior leadership, clients, and internal teams to translate business requirements into executable digital media strategies.
- Review, assess, and provide constructive feedback on partner media plans to ensure strategic alignment, efficiency, and ROI maximization.
- Demonstrate proficiency in client/agency finance processes, billing protocols, and resource allocation.
- Champion agency processes and best practices to ensure operational efficiency, accountability, and consistent client satisfaction.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a management role, comfortable managing a team of at least 2+ employees.
- Must love managing and leading a team of passionate and dedicated media professionals across digital areas.
- Meeting with senior leaders to understand and facilitate client, agency and business requests.
- Understanding of client/agency finance process; client billing and employee hours/pacing against business scope.
- Must follow all agency process to support/push continued adherence to facilitate workflow and manage expectations.
- 4+ years of strategic digital media planning and execution.
- Deep expertise in digital marketplace dynamics—including media rates, buying models, negotiation strategies, and contract execution.
- Advanced proficiency in media math and data-driven optimization.
- Deep proficiency with Prisma (non-negotiable).
- Proven ability to review, evaluate, and critique partner media plans for strategic alignment and optimization.
- Fluency in media terminology and industry standards.
