About the Role

The Associate Project Manager will provide exceptional preventive and maintenance service for clients while supporting the company's vision, mission, and culture. This role involves managing project execution, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders within the New York City Metro Area.

Responsibilities

  • Review project status with the Project Engineer.
  • Create and implement project plans to optimize job completion.
  • Develop project plans including deliverables, milestones, costs, resources, and schedules.
  • Lead project management and execution to meet or exceed objectives.
  • Coordinate with clients and Field Service Managers regarding job scope and progress.
  • Conduct on-site status reviews to provide quality assurance and technical support.
  • Document drawing numbers and revisions to facilitate final records.
  • Provide the Sales Department with project changes via RFP and update commissioning logs.
  • Conduct NYFD pre-test inspections.
  • Identify code and non-conformance issues and recommend alternative solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Manage relationships with contractors, clients, architects, vendors, and engineers.

Requirements

  • Two-year Associate’s degree in Engineering or 4 years of project management experience in a similar industry.
  • 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Certification.
  • 4-Hour DOB Scaffolding Safety Certification.
  • HRFS PE Training Program completion.
  • Client Service Training Program completion.
  • Time to Service Training Program completion.
  • Communicate to Service Training Program completion.
  • NICET Level I Certification.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.

Skills

  • Execution of Department of Engineering SOPs.
  • Knowledge of electronic circuits and basic electrical theories.
  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems operation and products (EST preferred).
  • Blueprint reading and review.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Multi-project management.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Negotiation and persuasion.
  • Time management.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
