About the Role
AHRC NYC is seeking to hire Full and Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their Residential Group Homes in ALL FIVE BOROUGHS. This role offers the reward of helping others, building relationships, and improving the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of all safety and health considerations
- Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
- Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
- Performing other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.
Requirements
- Driver's License required for Evening and Day shifts
- Driver's License NOT required for Weekend & Weekday Overnight shifts
- Ability to use a computer for data entry
- Professionalism, integrity, and excellent communication skills
- Patience is a MUST
- Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings
