About the Role
We are hiring two Senior Associates on our Canada New Verticals Strategy & Operations team. One role will focus on improving Dasher partnerships and operational efficiencies. The second role will focus on driving platform quality improvements to enhance the shopping experience and increase consumer spend. Both roles require understanding marketplace data and constraints to strategize actionable plans impacting navigation, in-app experience, dasher pay, pricing, and promotions. You will need to understand our three-sided marketplace and unit economics, balancing growth, cost, and quality. These roles sit at the intersection of strategy, operations, and product, leveraging AI to enhance operations and automate workflows. You will report to a Manager and be an individual contributor.
Responsibilities
- Develop optimal strategies for serving dashers, merchants, and consumers from first principles.
- Own tracking dashboards and manage week-over-week metrics to drive high-quality operations.
- Design, launch, and share operational experiments and product features.
- Build models using Excel and SQL to evaluate costs and benefits of programs and experiments, increasingly using AI.
- Use AI tools to automate manual processes, build prototypes, and develop product visions.
- Partner with and influence cross-functional teams including growth, quality, finance, product, analytics, and engineering.
- Manage core metrics across Dashers or Consumers and be the DRI for metric success.
- Work with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and US Logistics counterparts to share learnings and scale initiatives.
Requirements
- Solve problems from first principles, resisting "this is how it's always been done" thinking.
- Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action and ability to build from the ground up.
- Possess an operator mindset, understanding problems deeply to solve them.
- Comfortable building complex SQL queries across multiple data sources.
- Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools.
- Energized by AI tools and actively experiment with them.
- Embrace a builder's mindset with AI to automate, accelerate analysis, and unlock new work.
- Comfortable with a role scope that shifts with AI advancements.
- Unafraid of uncharted territory and excited to help define the role.
- 2-4+ years of experience in high-performing cultures (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, startups, or related).
- Completed Bachelor's Degree.
