About the Role
Support the delivery of ESCO construction projects for the Sacramento office.
Responsibilities
- Execute the project plan as laid out by the Project Manager, ensuring compliance with the schedule, plans, and specifications.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Act as onsite project lead, communicating and coordinating all installation efforts with the customer and building tenants.
- Supervise and coordinate all construction activities, including material requests and acceptance.
- Develop and maintain a Quality Control Plan to ensure installation quality and cleanliness of work areas prior to customer occupation.
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly look-ahead schedules to ensure adherence to the project schedule.
- Create site-specific plans and procedures; ensure the implementation of Veolia’s Safety Program to create a safe work environment throughout the jobsite; adhere to safety and record-keeping requirements; integrate the Safety Program into all site-specific plans and procedures.
- Obtain necessary information from engineers, designers, inspectors, governmental authorities, and owners.
- Advise the Project Manager of potential problems, work interferences, or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts.
- Anticipate and resolve project issues and schedule difficulties.
- Maintain the project’s Daily Report log and conduct routine inspections to verify production.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date drawings and project records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- At least 3 years of construction supervision experience.
- Proven track record of executing engineering projects, managing construction, or similar work.
- Experience supervising large crews; ability to manage others.
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, specifically building codes, construction materials, methods, and procedures.
- Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn new software.
- Can visualize and create the project schedule’s critical path.
- Ability to schedule, monitor, and forecast resources for optimum efficiency.
- Understands when to seek out professional advice.
- Able to adapt solutions to changing field conditions and constraints.
- Must possess a valid California Driver's License.
- Must be able to stay/walk for extended hours on construction sites, climb ladders, and enter confined spaces as required to observe and supervise the work done by others.
