About the Role
The Commercial Strategy Associate will streamline operational functions of the team’s go-to-market strategy, identify improvements, and refine processes for tracking end-to-end contracting and partnership management. This role impacts broader payor strategy, drives Commercial KPIs, and requires attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration to deliver valuable insights. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious and eager to understand payor workflows and stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with health plan stakeholders to build and develop end-to-end payor relationships
- Build and leverage in-depth knowledge of nuances in insurance market contracting
- Conduct and consolidate research related to payor workstreams and novel markets
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Finance, GTM, Legal, Compliance, RCM, etc.) to maintain health plan contracts
- Streamline development of go-to-market team processes, workflows, and tools
- Assist with scaling Commercial team initiatives over time to meet the needs of Charlie Health
- Analyze complex healthcare claims data to support competitive analysis and go-to-market strategy
- Support payor remediation efforts to streamline billing practices and improve revenue collections
Requirements
- 2-4+ years of relevant professional experience, including 1–2 years in investment banking, consulting, or at a high-growth start-up
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams concurrently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to operate independently in fast-paced environments
- Resourceful problem solver with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights
Skills
- Proficiency in SQL is a plus
- Proficiency in Python is a plus
- Experience with healthcare analytics is a plus

- Target base compensation between $115,000 and $135,000 per year
- Expected total cash compensation range, including potential bonus, between $126,000 and $148,000 per year
