About the Role
As a Travel Hockey Coach, you will lead competitive youth hockey teams, fostering athletic growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship. You will design training programs, mentor players, and manage team logistics to ensure a successful and positive experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute practice plans to improve individual skills and team strategies
- Coach players during games and tournaments with real-time decision-making
- Manage team travel arrangements including scheduling, transportation, and accommodations
- Communicate regularly with players, parents, and league officials
- Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive team environment
Requirements
- Proven experience coaching competitive youth hockey
- Strong knowledge of hockey rules, tactics, and player development techniques
- Ability to obtain and maintain required coaching certifications and background checks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to travel for games and tournaments on weekends and holidays
