About the Role

The Deposit Operations Specialist is responsible for the daily processing of all work within the Deposit Operations Department and assists personnel with related questions and issues.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily ACH and check returns to meet regulatory and association deadlines.
  • Process and release incoming and outgoing wire transfers.
  • Process daily non-post items for DDA, SAV, and CD accounts.
  • Review adjustment entries for ACH and Inclearing items, ensuring accuracy of research and general ledger entries.
  • Research, correct, and provide information necessary for processing adjusting entries.
  • Review account opening processes and documentation for adherence to Bank policy.
  • Review Dormant/Inactive accounts for proper documentation and notify branch staff.
  • Monitor accounts for suspicious activity through various transaction sources.
  • Perform and review File Maintenance.
  • Review various reports daily.
  • Assist branch and internal departments with questions and issues.
  • Assist in performing the escheatment process for abandoned property.
  • Perform weekly rate changes in core.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes.
  • Support Bank-wide personnel on deposit operations regulation responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must comply with all state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and Bank information.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of computer systems and changing technology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with internal Bank software

Education Level

  • Bachelor's degree in progress or currently enrolled in a higher education program.

Salary/Compensations

  • USD 70,000-80,000
