About the Role
This role focuses on streamlining case management operations by coordinating end-to-end support, authorizing ancillary services, facilitating referrals and discharges, and optimizing communication between payers and staff.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end support for the case management workflow, serving as the central point of contact between admissions, staff, and payers.
- Secure and record authorizations for ancillary services.
- Systematically manage and document critical denial reporting.
- Manage patient referrals based on preference.
- Expedite discharges by securely transmitting target documentation to receiving facilities.
- Document all payer interactions.
- Proactively communicate updates to case management staff to arrange seamless patient transfers.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Medical office or clinical experience preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with obtaining and processing referrals and authorizations with payers.
