About the Role

Pratt Munson College of Art & Design is actively seeking dynamic and creative individuals to join our adjunct faculty for both studio and academic roles. We are accepting applications on a rolling basis for consideration in upcoming semesters.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Studio Art (2D & 3D Design, Drawing, Graphic Design, Illustration, Animation, Photography, Sculpture) or Academic Areas (English, Art History, Social Sciences).
• Model the values and culture of the organization to colleagues and the public by being welcoming, inclusive, and respectful.
• Value collaboration across the organization.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in Area of Expertise, MFA for Studio Areas.
• Practicing artist or designer (studio classes only).
• Previous teaching experience is required.
• Evidence of the ability to teach and collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Provide a Letter of Intent.
• Provide a Curriculum Vitae.
• Provide a PDF portfolio including 20 images of personal work (studio faculty only).
• Provide a PDF portfolio including 20 images of student work (studio faculty only).
• Provide a Sample syllabus from previously taught course.
• Provide 3 references with names and contact information.
• Complete a post-offer, pre-employment background check.

Skills

• Computer literacy in database management.
• Microsoft software expertise.
• Google software expertise.
• Ability to learn specialized software related to education (Canvas).
• Ability to operate general office equipment.
