About the Role

Be an integral part of the exciting transformation to the cloud by identifying, progressing, and closing opportunities in marque customers.

Responsibilities

  • Sell Oracle’s flagship Database Platform across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and multicloud deployments, including Oracle Database@Azure, Oracle Database@Google Cloud, and Oracle Database@AWS.
  • Understand customer motivations and industry growth drivers to effectively tap into needs.
  • Encourage long-term strategic relationships within select high profile enterprise accounts.
  • Develop a robust qualified pipeline and handle strategic and customer centric account planning, using a disciplined qualification methodology (MEDDPICC) to craft, own and forecast cloud business accurately.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and influencer in winning customer decisions to buy, architect and adopt Oracle cloud database solutions, including migration from on-premises and other cloud platforms.
  • Work across Oracle ecosystems, hyperscaler alliance partners, and technology partners to transform customer organizations and build enduring cloud capabilities.
  • Cultivate client relationships by building trust, partnership and an emotional connection to the Oracle brand and team.
  • Gain access and establish relationships with key executives, C-level leaders and decision makers.
  • Master and share the "why Oracle Cloud" story that represents the value provided by unified, multicloud database offerings.
  • Build and implement key sales and business development initiatives to improve awareness of Oracle Cloud Database and multicloud solutions and increase sales pipeline.
  • Successfully prospect into assigned accounts to discover and develop viable selling opportunities.
  • Initiate and lead sophisticated sales cycles, using the support and strengths of key internal partners (Pre-Sales, Product Management, Executives and Industry Global Business Units).
  • Travel as required.

Requirements

  • Strong sales qualification skills, with a solid grounding in MEDDPICC or an equivalent methodology to qualify, progress and forecast opportunities with rigor.
  • Familiarity with open-source technologies and cloud-native database alternatives to Oracle Database, such as Postgres and MongoDB.
  • Solutions oriented and proactive in overcoming challenges.
  • Track record of success in consultative selling and exceeding goals.
