About the Role

The Provider Market Strategic Account Executive serves as the primary executive contact for key strategic Provider clients. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to achieve significant growth and profitability in delivering Provider solutions. You will manage the profitable growth and deployment of the Provider portfolio within client relationships, collaborating with internal and external partners to meet customer commitments. Alignment with teams across Optum Insight, Optum Health, and Optum RX will be crucial for cohesive customer plans.

Responsibilities

  • Build, nurture, and grow consultative relationships with key Provider clients to understand their strategy and business needs.
  • Assess the value Optum solutions are delivering to clients.
  • Lead matrixed teams to develop approaches that increase value and Optum's impact on the client's business.
  • Partner with Marketing to drive and deliver a value story consistent with client strategy.
  • Present the value of Optum solutions to various client levels, including executives and influencers.
  • Ensure service and delivery commitments are met and communicated through business reviews.
  • Coordinate and influence service delivery and operational interface between clients and Optum teams.
  • Drive resolution to performance opportunities and issues with Optum teams.
  • Negotiate renewals, contractual agreements, statements of work, and performance guarantees.
  • Serve as liaison with contracting, legal, and finance departments.
  • Ensure realization of expected client savings and Optum revenue growth goals.
  • Develop and present reporting on savings achievements, opportunities, and service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with Growth/Sales teams on timely updates to CRM System (SF.com).
  • Work effectively in a matrixed environment, building internal and external relationships.
  • Drive action and results while maintaining a healthy work environment.
  • Drive outcomes with internal matrix business stakeholders to ensure customer centricity, high NPS scores, renewal rates, and profitable growth.
  • Represent the voice of the customer in current and future products and technologies.
  • Influence external customers at the VP & C-Suite level as a trusted executive partner.
  • Deliver exceptional customer Net Promoter Score (NPS) results.
  • Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance client outcomes and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a strategic, leadership, consultant, or related role within the healthcare industry, responsible for driving KPIs/metrics and growth.
  • 7+ years of experience working with stakeholders and business leaders to drive outcomes.
  • Experience driving deep, productive relationships with external clients.
  • Demonstrated success building and evolving relationships with internal C-suite and matrixed stakeholder teams.
  • History of leading, influencing, and managing indirect, matrixed teams with successful people and team leadership experience.
  • Track record of success driving client success across highly complex and matrixed organizations.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex market opportunities and develop creative solutions.
  • Demonstrated track record of active collaboration, engagement, oversight, and strategy development of key growth opportunities.
  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the time based on business needs.
  • Currently reside in one of the following states: CA, NV, or HI.
  • Possess a Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
  • Must pass a drug test before beginning employment.
