About the Role
The HVAC Technician is responsible for repairing, installing, and troubleshooting HVAC equipment, including thermostats, furnaces, and air ducts. This role ensures the proper maintenance, installation, and operation of HVAC equipment throughout the property and may involve mentoring junior engineers. The technician will also safely handle refrigerant and charge refrigeration systems.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the proper maintenance, installation and operation of HVAC equipment throughout the property.
- May function as a mentor for Level l Facilities Engineer-HVAC.
- Always takes the appropriate steps to properly charge refrigeration systems and safely handle refrigerant.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma; required.
- A valid NYS driver’s license; required.
- 3 years or related experience and a Heating/AC Certificate (EPA Certification); required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with diplomacy and objectivity.
- The ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 41 - 50 pounds.
