About the Role

Restaurant Associates is seeking a Senior Cook to prepare nutritious and flavorful food in accordance with company and regulatory standards. This role may involve overseeing cooking activities and ensuring food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned.
• Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment after each use, performing scheduled routine cleaning.
• Store, label, and date food items according to policy.
• Maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completing required documentation.
• Assist in the cross-training of employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous cooking experience required.
• Previous grilling experience required.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Previous full-service à la carte experience required.
• Must be able to use a medium weight cut glove when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
• Must be able to use oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables.
• Must be able to use slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
