About the Role
As a Project Coordinator, you will plan, organize, direct, and control the work of construction sites to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and at the highest level of quality.
Responsibilities
- Read technical and administrative specifications of the project to be executed.
- Acquire necessary technical and administrative information from stakeholders during the submission process.
- Obtain blueprints and specifications for construction and compare them to bid plans.
- Report changes to professionals and claim costs.
- Read and understand prime contract terms, conditions, and requirements to ensure compliance throughout project execution.
- Draft notices for disputes, change orders, and contractual claims as required.
- Support the project cost accountant with budget tracking, cost reporting, and financial documentation.
- Obtain licenses and permits as needed for work execution.
- Draft contracts and agreements, negotiate terms, and award them to subcontractors.
- Develop and monitor the CNESST prevention program on site.
- Establish and monitor the project schedule, including dates, main construction stages, constraints, and methodology on a weekly basis.
- Inform the project superintendent of proposed methods and discuss them.
- Place orders for critical materials, negotiate prices, and prepare subcontractor contract documents in collaboration with the construction manager.
- Coordinate and participate in various meetings.
- Establish and maintain a professional and positive rapport with the client.
- Travel across Ontario is expected.
- Must be mobile.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction project coordination.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project software.
- Experience as a project coordinator in building construction.
- Strong management, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates initiative and leadership.
- Team player.
- Must be able to work onsite and in the office.

- $60,000–$105,000
