About the Role

We have a job opening for a Senior Software Developer specializing in API development for the Province of Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and consume REST APIs.
• Document and test APIs.
• Design and build integration solutions using Spring Integration.
• Build scalable, highly available systems using Azure Services.
• Implement messaging queuing, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous communication/multi-threading.
• Work with relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle.
• Integrate with OAuth2, JWT, SAML, and related authentication/authorization technologies.
• Perform data transformation between different formats, including JSON, XML, and CSV.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing, building, and consuming REST APIs, including API documentation and testing.
• In-depth knowledge of integration patterns and best practices.
• Experience designing and building integration solutions using Spring Integration.
• In-depth knowledge of microservice architecture.
• Experience building scalable, highly available systems using various Azure Services.
• Hands-on experience with messaging queuing, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous communication/multi-threading.
• Strong skills in SQL.
• Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle.
• Knowledge of integration with OAuth2, JWT, SAML, and related authentication/authorization technologies.
• Knowledge of data transformation techniques, such as mapping and normalization.
• Experience applying data transformation techniques in a Spring Integration context.
• Ability to transform data between different formats, including JSON, XML, and CSV.
• Knowledge and experience in Criminal Justice Business and System.
