About the Role

Join the Montefiore School Health Program as an LPN with an Alternate Work Schedule, supporting student health in a school-based setting. This role focuses on preventive care, chronic disease management, and urgent clinical needs within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to pediatric and adolescent students under RN supervision
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures within LPN scope of practice
• Collect specimens and perform diagnostic tests including venipuncture
• Deliver patient and family education tailored to developmental and cultural needs
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control and safety policies
• Document care, interventions, and observations in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with RNs and school staff to manage patient care and daily workflows

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current New York State LPN License and Registration
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Infection Control Certificate
• Effective written, oral, and interpersonal English communication skills
• Basic data entry and computer retrieval skills
• Must complete fingerprinting for Department of Education and Justice Center Security Clearance
• Occupational Health Services (OHS) Annual Assessment and Fit Test
