About the Role

Leidos is seeking an Applications Software Engineer to join our INTEL Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). This role involves product development for tactical mobile and enterprise web applications supporting Cybersecurity and Information Assurance domains, delivering secure, modern Cybersecurity and Cryptographic Key Management solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop web services, full stack web applications, and persistence layers within an Agile Scrum environment.
• Utilize Themes, Epics, User Stories, and acceptance criteria as part of an Agile team.
• Apply software engineering best practices and clean coding techniques for maintainable, efficient, reliable, understandable, secure, and fault-tolerant code adhering to S.O.L.I.D principles.
• Apply secure software development principles and techniques.
• Use software tools in conjunction with continuous integration and test automation management processes.
• Understand software components and their interface requirements.
• Interface with software engineers, system engineers, information assurance engineers, test engineers, quality assurance, and other project team members.
• Set standards and guide the team in adopting and adhering to Test Driven Development (TDD) practices within the Leidos Agile Framework.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 8+ years of relevant experience (experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Experience with web-based technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) in a web-based environment.
• Experience in Scrum Methodology or other Agile environments (e.g., SAFe, XP).
• Experience with UI / Development Frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, Ionic, GWT, SmartGWT, Qt, React, Node.js).
• Experience with Automated Testing Tools/Technologies/Concepts (Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, BDD).
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• DoD 8570 approved security certification (e.g., Security +) required within 90 days of hire.
