About the Role

The University of Rochester's Department of Psychiatry, Division of Community Psychiatry, is seeking Mental Health Counselors and Licensed Mental Health Counselors to join their collaborative team. Responsibilities

• Provide mental health counseling services to individuals and families.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, nurses, and other behavioral health professionals.

• Utilize tools and resources to provide optimal patient care.

Requirements

• Master's degree from a CACREP accredited program with major coursework in mental health counseling.
• NYS licensure as a mental health practitioner (e.g., Mental Health Counselor, Creative Arts Therapist) upon hire.
• If licensure has not been obtained upon employment, an active limited permit or submitted application to the NYS Department of Education upon hire is required.
• With a limited permit, NYS licensure as a mental health practitioner is required within 36 months of hire.
