About the Role
Join our team as a Pre/Post Endoscopy RN, working full-time day shifts with no call required initially. Responsibilities
- Utilize assessment skills and knowledge to prepare patients for procedures.
- Plan post-operative patient care, addressing spiritual, emotional, and physiological needs.
- Assist with basic Endoscopy procedures such as Colonoscopy and EGDs.
- Assist with advanced therapeutic procedures for mass removal, swallowing disorders, and other GI ailments.
- Assist and administer moderate sedation.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Ability to assess, plan, direct, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN Acute Surgical/Endo experience.
- BLS Required.
- ACLS required (can be provided during orientation).
- Telemetry Training (can be acquired during orientation).
- On call availability required: 1 weekday night every other week and 1 weekend every 6-7 weeks.
