About the Role

Apex Entertainment is seeking a skilled Bowling Technician to maintain and service bowling lanes and equipment, ensuring guests enjoy safe, seamless, and fun bowling experiences. This hands-on role is for individuals with a knack for mechanical systems and a passion for keeping things running smoothly in a high-energy, guest-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair Brunswick GSX pinsetters, Custodian lane machines, scoring systems, ball returns, bowling balls, and related components.
  • Perform routine service and preventative maintenance on all bowling equipment.
  • Clean, adjust, and troubleshoot automated scoring systems.
  • Identify and order necessary replacement parts and supplies.
  • Perform major overhauls and rebuilds as needed to keep equipment in top condition.
  • Assist in planning and managing service and maintenance budgets.
  • Contribute to long-term repair and improvement plans for bowling equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, parts usage, and equipment performance.
  • Train and supervise hourly pin chaser staff on basic equipment care and safety.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience maintaining and repairing bowling and pinsetter equipment (Brunswick preferred).
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, lubrication and testing equipment.
  • Must be safety-conscious and able to work independently.
  • Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs multiple times per shift.
  • Comfortable with tasks involving sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.
  • Will work primarily indoors with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures or loud noise.
  • May face risks associated with mechanical or electrical equipment.
