About the Role
The Senior Manager of People & Culture is a key leadership role responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of the People & Culture function. This role oversees talent management, organizational development, compensation and benefits, HR policy design, employee relations, internal communications, and culture and equity initiatives. The position supervises a team of 3 and serves as a trusted strategic advisor, building and strengthening workforce effectiveness while balancing compliance with care and supporting employee wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Recommend approaches to organizational structure and development to leadership, managing communication and implementation of these initiatives.
- Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures with a focus on equity, accessibility, and trauma-informed practices.
- Partner with the leadership team to shape culture, embed core values, develop staff competencies, and build leadership capability.
- Lead the full talent lifecycle and employer branding to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing workforce.
- Develop and track People & Culture metrics to measure impact and inform decision-making.
- Lead employee relations and workplace culture initiatives by advising leaders on complex people matters and guiding conflict resolution.
- Oversee the People & Culture budget, compensation and benefits administration, payroll collaboration, and HR systems.
Requirements
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check clearance.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be willing to work onsite in downtown Toronto on a hybrid schedule.
