About the Role
Aon has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Client Portfolio Manager to join the Delegated Consulting Services (DCS) team in London. DCS helps EMEA clients manage and outsource their investment decision-making and implementation by creating portfolios of specialist third-party managers. This role sits within Aon’s asset management business (AIL), which is FCA authorised.
Responsibilities
- Manage large client portfolios in line with strategy and client considerations.
- Attend client meetings and participate in business development activities like new business pitches and third-party evaluator meetings.
- Serve as a lead portfolio manager for discretionary mandates, ensuring house views are reflected consistently.
- Manage OCIO mandates, working with clients and their teams to create portfolios and governance structures.
- Provide input to the Investment Strategy Committee for multi-asset portfolio construction.
- Monitor portfolios for compliance with restrictions.
- Manage client transitions from a PM team perspective.
- Act as a trusted expert explaining Aon’s offering to third-party evaluators.
- Develop new solutions for market.
- Collaborate with the Portfolio Specialist team on client messaging.
- Communicate Aon’s best ideas to clients with varying technical knowledge.
- Attend business-to-business meetings to build industry relationships.
- Manage and support junior colleagues' engagement, development, and progression.
Requirements
- At least 10 years’ experience in asset management, investment consultancy, or an allied industry.
- Experience of multi-asset portfolio construction and portfolio management.
- Understanding of pension scheme liabilities and key drivers.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organized and calm under pressure, able to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to interpret and present complex information clearly.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, prospects, and other businesses in the industry.
