About the Role

LCP Delta is seeking an experienced consultant to guide clients in understanding the evolving landscape of residential flexibility across Europe and to assist them in developing strategies for its commercialization. This role is central to the company's growth in this rapidly developing sector, emphasizing the delivery of high-quality research and consulting projects in residential flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Managing and delivering research projects within the Residential Smart Energy research service and residential flexibility consulting projects.
• Leading research using qualitative and quantitative methods, including expert interviews, market analysis, desk research, and data analysis.
• Producing clear, engaging, and meaningful outputs for clients, including reports, databases, viewpoints, and presentations.
• Communicating insights to clients virtually and in-person through meetings, presentations, email, and webinars.
• Managing projects, budgets, and client relationships.
• Building relationships with industry contacts to strengthen marketing insight and business development activities.
• Identifying emerging trends and translating them into client-relevant insights.
• Providing expert opinion on flexibility to clients and colleagues.
• Supporting less-experienced analysts in growing their expertise and developing skills.
• Collaborating closely with colleagues across the Residential Smart Energy team and other teams to deliver and develop successful projects.
• Supporting business development activities such as lead generation and proposal development where required.
• Developing, delivering, and managing cutting-edge research and projects on residential flexibility.
• Working at the forefront of a high-growth sector within the energy transition.
• Building a profile as a trusted expert in European residential flexibility.
• Building relationships with a range of industry stakeholders and supporting the development of growth in this area.

Requirements

• Proven experience working in flexibility, ideally including experience in residential flexibility.
• Solid understanding of flexibility value streams across Europe, with a specific focus on the accessibility and monetization of residential assets.
• Ability to articulate how flexibility value streams differ across countries and how these differences affect business models and customer propositions to both expert and non-expert audiences.
• Understanding of the business models and propositions of key stakeholders monetizing residential flexibility across the value chain, from customer acquisition through to trading.
• Firm understanding of market conditions that have enabled these business models to emerge.
• Understanding of the challenges faced by a range of stakeholders (e.g., OEMs, independent aggregators, suppliers) in developing residential flexibility propositions.
• Understanding of how these stakeholders can support one another but may also create barriers.
• Solid research skills, including experience with expert interviews, desk-based research, data analysis, and synthesis.
• Experience managing research or consulting projects, including project teams and deadlines.
• Excellent client management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand client needs.
• Curiosity and a desire to listen and learn from industry contacts.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear and commercially useful insight.
• Great written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build a compelling narrative.
• Team player – collaborative, sets standards, builds relationships, provides feedback.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and multiple deadlines.
