About the Role

Horizon Health Services is seeking a dedicated professional to provide mental health counseling within a school setting. Responsibilities

• Attend trainings via a state-of-the-art learning management system.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Build effective therapeutic relationships and instill hope for patients.
• Participate in weekly one-on-one meetings with supervisors and team meetings.
• Utilize evidenced based practices such as CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, MI, and Play Therapy.
• Problem solve with patients around practical obstacles to increase whole body wellness.
• Collaborate with school personnel, family members, and psychiatric providers.
• Work with elementary-aged students.

Requirements

• Completed Master’s degree in a program that will grant licensure in the state of New York.
• Hold one of the following licensures or permits: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or LCAT.
• Experience working with the children/adolescent population is preferred.
• Play therapy training is preferred.
• Ability to and willingness to travel to different schools as needed.
• Comfort with elementary aged students.
• Sitting for extended periods, alternating between standing and sitting.
• Mobility required with repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.
• Handling light duties, occasionally lifting objects up to 20 pounds.

• Quarterly bonuses with an annual earning potential of eight thousand dollars
