About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Research Assistant to support the Cohort Studies Team, which runs two large longitudinal studies: Generation Pup and the Post-Adoption Welfare study.

Responsibilities

  • Complete manual data entry tasks.
  • Perform data cleaning and basic analyses.
  • Contribute to a variety of outputs such as internal reports and slide decks.
  • Test surveys in development.
  • Contribute to other study maintenance and reporting tasks.

Requirements

  • Strong science background.
  • Interest in dog welfare and behaviour.
  • Good understanding and experience of relevant research methods.
  • Knowledge related to quantitative data analysis, ideally including use of R (or equivalent).
  • Experience of working collaboratively to conduct research within project timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience dealing with study participants or stakeholders.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Good understanding of relevant ethical issues.
