About the Role

This player-coach role on the Product Marketing team is responsible for translating core messaging and positioning into a compelling field narrative. You will own the system for making products understandable to the Go-To-Market (GTM) organization, enabling them with plays, narratives, and assets. You will also own the GTM narrative for Braze Services Marketing and lead a small team of GTM PMMs, while staying hands-on. Success will be measured against pipeline, product adoption, and program impact.

Responsibilities

  • Shape core messaging and positioning into a compelling, coherent story for the field.
  • Own the system for making products legible to the GTM organization, including plays, narratives, assets, and channels.
  • Own the go-to-market strategy for technology and services delivery partners, including enablement and strategic partnerships.
  • Own the GTM narrative for Braze Services Marketing (support, onboarding, education).
  • Lead and develop a team of GTM PMMs, setting priorities and raising the bar on craft.
  • Partner daily with field leadership (Sales, Solutions Consultants, CS) to understand needs and translate product value.
  • Translate complex technology into buyer-ready language and coach the field to do the same.
  • Utilize AI as a force multiplier, understanding when it accelerates work and when human judgment is needed.
  • Prioritize ruthlessly, focusing the team's energy on high-impact narratives, launches, and plays.
  • Spend time with customers to gather insights for messaging, playbooks, and roadmap discussions.
  • Measure and report on work, holding yourself accountable to business outcomes like pipeline and product adoption.

Requirements

  • A marketer who loves working with Sales and Customer Success, trusted as a subject-matter expert and strategic partner.
  • A messaging craftsperson capable of turning complex products into sharp, memorable, and sales-ready content.
  • Fluent in the sales motion, understanding how deals are closed.
  • Deeply curious about the product, market, competition, and customers.
  • An exceptional writer and presenter, able to command a room.
  • Steeped in martech, with a strong grasp of AI innovations and the competitive landscape.
  • A sharp prioritizer and builder of trust across cross-functional teams.
  • 10+ years of experience in Product Marketing, GTM/field marketing, or a closely related GTM function.
  • Experience leading and developing people.
  • A track record of building field-facing narratives and enablement that demonstrably influenced pipeline, deal velocity, or win rates.
  • Deep experience in B2B SaaS, ideally in martech, with a strong command of the competitive and AI landscape.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technology into buyer-ready language and help a field organization do the same.
  • Experience building joint go-to-market motions with technology or services delivery partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate across functions and bring order to ambiguity.
  • A genuine interest in marketing as a craft.
