About the Role
The Senior Project Manager for O&M Projects leads projects of varying complexity and size to ensure the continued operation of offshore wind assets and minimize business disruptions. This role involves preparing the organization and processes for executing Fast Response Projects, focusing on HV transmission systems and other vital components.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of department processes and tools, including the Fast Response Plan and critical spares program.
- Lead the digitalization of processes and tools.
- Support assets to ensure critical spares availability.
- Improve the Fast Response Plan.
- Manage projects from early identification to final project closure.
- Ensure project delivery within quality, scope, budget, and with safety as a priority.
- Obtain relevant steerco approvals.
- Set up the project organization and request internal and external resources.
- Report on key KPIs such as progress, cost, risks, impact, and health and safety.
- Ensure the right solution is implemented, benefiting all stakeholders.
- Support the procurement process regarding technical content and align with commercial support on contractual topics if tendering is part of the project.
- Be present on offshore site during execution as required.
- Capture lessons learned and feedback from past projects and ensure dissemination across the organization.
- Ensure that as-built records are correctly stored and all punch list items are closed out.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering or similar.
- Relevant project management experience.
- Experience with High voltage infrastructure.
- Relevant experience to manage complex technical projects involving high voltage within scope, budget and time.
- Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, operations, HSE, logistics and external contractors.
- Skilled in Risk management.
- Understanding of different turbine platforms.
- Experience with offshore or onshore substations, transmission systems, MV/HV grid infrastructure.
- Relevant experience from the offshore industry.
- Familiarity with relevant grid codes and international standards.
- Excellent skills of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Experience from operation and/or construction of offshore wind farms.
- Good understanding of the offshore working environment.
- Basic understanding of commercial and contract management.
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Result-oriented and great at organizing and prioritizing work efficiently.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Ability to work in an international and diverse environment.
- Well-organized and structured work approach.
